Great neighborhoods and communities don’t just appear - they are a part of a well-thought out process, guided by the values and priorities of the people who live in them. So let's hear it!

Why does it need to get updated?

  • Address new issues that have arisen since the last General Plan update in 2002
  • Understand and define current community values and priorities
  • Statutory obligations (Housing Element)

How does it get updated?

  • Developing a broad understanding of things the City desires and is required to do
  • Through robust public input and community dialogue
  • A process facilitated by the General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC)
